Ok have ordered the cheaper one.
Not sure how to fit ...as new bulb has a spade connector and existing one just directly wired to live - will see if i can buy 2 more spades to cut the existing ones ...

IIRC they should work by the bulb holder (and potentially the entire light unit) being the ground, and the spade being the live feed. Been a long time since I had my 3G though, can't quite remember how it all worked inside.

I have no spade connector on my existing bulb / holder.
Its just grounded (via the fogs shell spade)
And the live is permanently wired


The new bulb has a spade live ...
Which means i can either remove this spade and tie the 2 live wires together

Or get another spade and put this on the end of the live wire in the fog shell

Got new bulbs



And before i take my fogs apart (again a millionth time...)...
And coz i cant see from my own pictures of my fogs in bits....
And not want to do another TWO MONTH project ..

Does anyone know if there is a spade connection inside the fogs for BOTH (-) and (+) terminals?

Coz i only could see ONE spade connection on the body of the fogs?

I'm sure the -ve terminal is the bulb housing itself, thats why it has a spade going to it in your pic here:

The bulb housing has a spade connection to go back to the switch

The positive is permanently wired to the bulb in my car.

But, the new bulb positive has a spade connector..

Does that make sense?

Whereas the new bulb has a positive spade connector ...

So you will need to fit an insulated spade connector (female end) onto the positive wire that will connect to your bulb, so you can plug the bulb into it.
