Trust me - it has crossed my mind many times!
My house is rented - if it was my own, then i would like to keep in garage - those rust will be more containable out of rain and certainly with all the work done to Luke it be many many years trouble free (apart from starter motor - lol) :)

Got my Luke back! :) :) :)

Spoke to garage more
The starter motor is unknown to his contact - so they were unwilling to refurb it, but would sell me another £116+vat :-(

No oil leak anywhere - just old oil still dripping from last oil leak

PARK/NEUTRAL rev up/down - not happened yet, but will monitor ...

Exactly my thought!
But its not the garage, its his contact...

116 quid doesn't sound too bad for a, I assume, refurbed starter motor, but unnecessary if getting yours fixed is cheaper. Be sure to wipe the existing oil stain left by the supposedly old oil leak so that you can monitor it in the future. Hope the hunting issues have gone, mine's been O.K. for the last week ago. BTW went to a job agency on Wednesday, they have a vacancy with a company similar to my old job at the bakery, fingers crossed.

That's the problem, Mike - can cover been sealed twice, last garage say no more leak - but its still leaving small drips in my own garage :(
Can't get to the engine to wipe off leftover oils :( :( :(

Fingers crossed for u then ref job!

I went to an interview on Tues (a planned one as I thought I get redundancy at work - sadly not :() - test went OK, presentation was OK, interview made the panel laugh - but still not good enough to get job. But hey, life must go on, right? :)

Determined to get my front fogs working!

Managed to borrow a soldering set (determined to solder the bulb terminals to the bulb holder rather than rely on them making lose contact via corroded surfaces)...

Soldering set...

Blown fog fuse from last time (short circuit due to crappy bulb terminal contacts)...

Remove more wire sheath as fraying when going thru bulb holder.
Will try to remove as much corrosion as possible.
Then solder on the bulb terminals to bulb holder...fingers crossed!
