Ok, to satisfy Paul's burning desire for more information on this topic...
I have concluded (based on photo's, not actually going back to look at it all, you understand
) that the existing socket;

Is gauge A;

Whereas my new plug;

Is gauge B;

Nope.
a) I hate 'em. Big, bulky and zero durability
b) I'm not forking out for a sparky to re-wire it all
I have a cunning plan...

Jam screwdrivers in the holes, and wrap the bare cables round them, then spray the whole mess with expanding foam so no-one knows?wurlycorner wrote:I have a cunning plan...

There's nothing wrong with 'commando' plugs ('hubbles', I've known them as), 16A, splash proof, lockable, and they are very durable.
Better than that thing you have anyway.
Mount a surface outlet and use a cable plug to connect it.
Or simply get a 20A isolator and hard-wire it.

Yar, I'v worked with ceeform plugs for years and never had a problem. And I have been in many many dodgy situations with generators and its never been the plugs (unless someone has wired 3phase the wrong way round
)

6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.
