Brakes feel crap after being parked up for awhile

Post by Turbomick1985 » Sun Feb 22, 2015 11:46 am

My car has been parked up for last 4 months getting used once or twice a week, travelled up from London to collect and the brakes feel terrible

When I press the peddle I can feel a bit of pressure but then it weakens and I press the peddle all the way down and the brakes come in fully and lock up

The right rear discs looks rusty lookin even after a drive

The fluid looks ok

Anybody have an idea? I'm thinkin the back right is jammed and causing the brakes to be crap, I was supposed to drive back tonite but I'm not chancing it, il take it somewhere tomorrow and get it sorted but I would like to have an idea of what's wrong before I take it in

I agree with the others, build up of rust on the discs since you've been away, drive it gingerly for a few miles, using the brakes occasionally to skim off the accrued rust, then all 'l be fine. My 3g was like that after 3 months away last year.
