As above. It can sit for months or years without an issue.
If it's just your battery that you're worried about, disconnect both leads from it and then it will be fine as there's no current draw from it. Just make sure you have any codes for radios/immobilisers/etc first!

Does the main crank pulley need to come off to remove bottom timingbelt cove??

I don't think there is any way to tell unless you measure it as there is a fair few different seal sizes
