Rear brake lights

Post by Drax » Sun Feb 08, 2015 3:36 pm

had the rear brake light occasionally come on for a long long time - ignored it as it was so rare an occurrence.

now, it comes on every time and i have zero brakes lights, including the 3rd brake light. bulbs seems fine, fuse checks ok.

....now where do i go? lol

It's a small cylindrical plunger switch, operated by the pedal itself. Effectively it switches the brake light on and off.

got it. seems in good nick, looks like theres a sensor and assembly the other side of the pedal with wiring, could be that sensor gone so ill source another and swap it. @bri - got one?

Just unplug the wiring and check for conductivity across the pins on the switch when it's pressed, rather than just swapping it as it might not be your issue.
