it's very much most likely an oil supply issue, pretty much confirmed as vtec stops when doing some hard cornering.

It's just strange that it happened when my mate welded the engine mount then it started happening

Every morning I drive to my work the car runs great vtec works fine till about 7 miles into drive then I go up the slip road to the motorway slight hill give it some foot down and it happens 3rd And 4th gear the same place every day so thinking it must have something to do with getting starved of oil
