That is a point of no return scenario. Did you gain any extra front door room with the turn?

I like to stand back and admire my handy work a lot ;-)

No. The stairs fit in the exact same foot print. I had to loose a stair in order to gain the turn within the same distance, so the steps are all higher than before (But still within regulations ;-) ). I can see it takes Max (Who's 3) more effort to climb them now

I'm also going to be getting a new front door as well, but this time the hinge will be on the right (As you're stood outside looking at it). So when the door is opened you're inclined to step into the hallway more, rather than to towards the stairs or the door to the right as you come in.

I drove the Lude in proper snow this morning. It hated it. I blamed it on the treads filling up, but even when out of the loose powder and onto the packed stuff, it lost most of its front end grip. I had to become one of those people who hold up other drivers just because the scenery's white.

The Volvo went to the breaker yesterday - towed by the Prelude. Had it been today, we'd never have made it. We have to tow the ATR tomorrow ...

I had intended to fit winter tyres to a spare set of wheels, but never got round to it.

Yeah I had a dicey walk down the hill to the bus stop this morning. Then went arse over tit on a wet floor in the cafe.
