Turns over; fuel gets through; new plugs, rotor arm and dizzy cap. Earth straps seems OK.
I next tried to replace the coil-pack but found that the two screws you have to approach from underneath are too tight to undo without risking rounding-off the pozi slots. I shall have to remove the dizzy, I suppose, and remove these screws on the bench.
There was a Honda recall for dodgy ignition switches. I don't know if ours has been done. I wonder if there's a way to test the switch by by-passing the ignition side of its final position?

Today I gave the scooby a bath, I also used detailing clay for the first time. I have to say I was really impressed with the difference the clay made, the paint on the front end of this car originally looked awful due to the amount of brake dust/rust flecks embedded in it and I thought the clay wouldn't do much. However, it's cleaned the paint right up and left it nice and smooth. I'm really pleased with the outcome, especially as I originally thought I was going to have to spend a fortune getting the paint sorted on the Legacy as it looked like somebody had ground up a fourth gen and sprayed it all over the bonnet
I used the meguiars stuff and I'll definitely be using it again on my other cars

All clean, just in time for the rain!
