H22 Head - Convert H23 to H23A VTEC
Seeing if anyone has one laying around?
Also do I need to get a particular head to match by engine?
Other parts would be needed.

How much you want for the head and cams?Drax wrote:i have a spare h22 head and some jdm cams for it if you want that?
I also have a h22 bottom end but with no pistons - you'd need to get another set of pistons that are BBBB for this block
Trying to decide between a turbo conversion or the VTEC route. I've heard the higher revs of the H22 head could cause issues? But then again bolstering a turbo isn't exactly problem free.
Keep flittering between.
No doubt someone is going to say do both.....

Right. I'll give it a go using my fingers instead of my gentleman's sausage to type this time
You'll need to get the h23 crank balanced to suit the high revs of the h22.
You'll also need a h22 water pump, intake, water pump to thermostat pipe, exhaust manifold, head, cams, rocker cover, vtec soloniod, thermostat housing. A h22 box would be a good call as well for the better/shorter ratios. Youll also need a h22 ecu.
You'd be best imo to get a complete h22, possibly car and dropping your crank and rods into thar using the existing pistons in the h22. Due to the hike in compression your probably best getting a map as well.
Due to the upping in compression you have a couple of options between pistons, ukdm, jdm or if your very brave type s. The lattee option is a bit risky and requires rod modifications.
My next motor will be a bit of a bull jobby build using a h23 crank so crack in so I can see how you get on

^^^ this
a complete engine would be better, but if you want my bits as its incomplete then you can have the block, head and cams for £100prahunt wrote:How much you want for the head and cams?Drax wrote:i have a spare h22 head and some jdm cams for it if you want that?

Hmmmm.
I appreciate the advise on this.
If I got this all done. And done well, what kind if gains in power would I expect to see?
