Brake Discs - Upgrade options?
Just wondering what people are using for upgraded brake disc's?
I've seen a lot of options out there. EBC turbo grooved seem like a good option. Anyone else running these?
Few people suggest just running standard but upgrade the pads to greenbacks?
Am thinking for future potential as well for upgrading power in the future on my H23.

Is there much you have to do for the ATR discs to fit?

^^^^^ this manufacturer ATR conversion + 290mm rears and you will be happy. For ATR conversion you need 300mm discs and ATR calipers and cariers. Advantages are bigger discs and 2 pot calipers. The only minus of this is ATR using 5x114.3 patern. So you will have to redrill discs to 4x114.3 or do hubs conversion using 5 gen parts and also having bigger choice of wheels
Check my threat for more info and some pics. Some also using calipers from civic (300mm as well) or legends which are more les the same as ATRs

Just use regular blank discs. There is no advantage to grooved or drilled/dimpled discs on Lude sized discs and pads. You are better off spending cash on pads, fluid and braided hoses.prahunt wrote:Just wondering what people are using for upgraded brake disc's?
Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HP Plus pads + OEM style blank discs + Castrol React Performance super DOT 4 fluid + Goodridge or HEL braided hoses = The best combination of cheap and performance.

Hawk HP Plus and oem blank discs are what I'm running on track. No matter how bloody hard I pushed them I couldn't get much fade. Spot on Merlin, blanks all day long.Merlin wrote:Just use regular blank discs. There is no advantage to grooved or drilled/dimpled discs on Lude sized discs and pads.
