Nice, do you ever fiddle with your bias valve? I have stock rear brakes and no bias valve but feel the braking is still well balanced, both in the dry and the wet.
jasonxr2racer - The reason most use OEM rear calipers and just use a bigger disc (other than it is cheaper) is that the OEM caliper has the handbrake mechanism on it. After market calipers don't have the brake mechanism and would fail an MOT as Preludes will/should not pass using a hydraulic handbrake. Not a big deal for a race car though.

Just with having the big front brakes and standard rears not sure how they wil be. If not I'll stick new discs on and some decent racing pads from EBC as they are cheap and should do the job. Fronts wont be as cheap as I will be using BTCC spec pads which no doubt will be carbon mets

I
Reasson why I did not fit them yet is because I do not have a time and I did not decide what to put on the front - I have DC5 brembo callipers and ( as far I remeber) S2000 300mm rotors can be fitted witout any mods, or 330mm K sport 8 pot calipers.
I did say "I have got rear brake conversion" - not "have got fitted" hehehMerlin wrote:What brakes are you guys running on the front?

ludes are ment to be driven, not wanking around on a stand like a Civic.

Watch some of my vids and you'll see how hard you can still drive on OEM rears with big brakes on the front with no bias valuejasonxr2racer wrote:Just with having the big front brakes and standard rears not sure how they wil be.

Cebul, it was an open question

well i had my first outing in the lude racecar yesterday. The brakes were pretty awesome but warped front discs made it harder to brake as late as i wanted to. plus the fact Oulton Park was damp in places and i was out on well used slicks. I'd be interested in finding out about a slightly bigger rear brake conversion or at least i'll just stick some new grooved rear discs and decent spec pads

Maybe a silly question, as its a race car I doesnt need an mot, could you use standard front 282mm discs, calipers and pads on the rear?
