The 4.64 final drive is not OEM so the chances of finding one in a U2Q7 are very slim. There is a 2nd hand 4.64 final drive being sold at the moment. http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/prelude ... 13579.html

Yeah saw that vtec direct can do them for 450 brand new so would prob be better getting that I was interested on it but seller staying firm on price Which is fair enough

That seems quite cheap for a new 6.64 FD. I paid something like £600 delivered for my brand new one, but I did import it myself as I wanted it quickly.

I have the 4.64 FD in my M2F5 gearbox and it is awesome although motorway cruising is at a high rpm. I have debated whether the U2Q7 is a good gearbox for a 4.64 FD as the U2Q7 (ATR) and M2P4 (5th gen H22a8 99+) have short gear ratios for 2nd and 3rd. When building my gearbox I had to choose between the M2F5 and M2P4.

MFactory state that their 4.64 FD provides a 9% increase in effective torque, meaning that if two identical cars went down the drag strip, one car had the 4.64 FD and the other had the OEM 4.266, the car with the 4.266 would need to increase its engine torque by 9% to accelerate at the same rate as the car with the 4.64 FD.

Performance wise there are no downsides IMO but like I said motorway cruising is a bit painful :( You will need to send your gearbox to a specialist or get someone who knows what they are doing to install it. I paid £200 for a gearbox specialist to install my FD and Kaaz LSD.

Rarely go far on motorways lol boy at garage has rebuilt a couple atr boxes so he'll probz get the job
