4th gen RHD warning light cluster

Post by Edson » Tue Nov 18, 2014 3:53 pm

Hi all,

Since a short time I'm intrigued by this cluster:
Image

Especially because I havent seen a headlight-on light before.

This cluster in the pic is obviousely pre-facelift, but I want a facelift version, with cruise light, headlight-on light and a dash harness.

Let me know if you have one !
Should be shipped to Netherlands.

Cheers,
Edwin

Since any dash harness we have would indeed be RHD - could make plugging the clocks in difficult?

The Cruise Control light isn't a facelift/pre-facelift thing.
If you have cruise control, you should have that light (UKDM and JDM at least). Both 4th gens we have with Cruise Control are pre-face, one JDM and one UKDM and they both have that light.
It comes on when you engage cruise control (i.e. when it's controlling the car speed).
The green light on the cruise control switch is just to tell you the system is enabled, waiting with anticipation for your every instruction...

I've not seen the sidelight/headlight indicator before I don't think? Certainly it's not on the pre-facelift UKDM, pre-face JDM or post-face JDM we have!
So I don't think that's a UKDM or JDM feature???
UDM maybe?
or EDM?

My pre-facelift JDM doesn't have the sidelight warning on the cluster, and I can't recall any of my UKDM Honda's either newer or older having had that symbol on the dash. The only cars I can recall driving which had sidelight indicator lights are my Audis. Maybe it's a Euro thing?

It's a UKDM facelift thing, I had it after I did the EL dial swap on mine

@indigolemon, if it was a UKDM facelift thing, why is this symbol seen in a pre-facelift UKDM car ?
You can tell because there is no seatbelt light or cat light in the dash warning piece.

I havent seen it on JDM or EDM cars, neither on USDM or AUDM cars.
Also, the owner of the car in this pic, @tron20 sells this car, which is UKDM.

Still looking though !

UKDM cars didn't get the cat warning light at all. That was a JDM thing, AFAIK?
 pushing the boat out even further... I think the seatbelt warning was also a JDM only thing? :?

I started with a pre facelift car. I had no cat, seatbelt or sidelight lights. I fitted the el dials and gauges from a facelift UKDM lude, and then had the sidelight indicator.

Looking at the pod with the fuel/temp gauges - the plugs between pre/post facelift were identical. So if you fitted replacement gauges from a facelift into a pre-facelift, they'd fit, and you'd gain the side-lights indicator.

That's my guess anyway!

That's quite possibly true - it already has the input needed (Black/Red from the combination light switch)
