I can mix you up some paint for your airbrush.
Its waterbased so sprays easy and dries with a heatgun.
I usually mix 20grams up per bumper scuff and up to 40grams (around 60mm) for larger ones.

Yer Chipsaway use waterbased paint. It made by ppg which are some of the best in the business. Fiat and Alfa use the same paint and so will most bodyshops in the future due to the VOCs. And yes I seal it with 2 Pac lacquer.
Phantom pearl is just another colour. Blends body lemonade easy. But rust takes days to treat and remove.

Iv used paints for you before and the colour match was Clubbing Eddy. It was a kia Pincanto cobalt blue though. But cheap for the waterbased stuff and got a hell of alot of it.
Try paints4you IMO as you can get 500ml for £40 odd.
You will have to sound out all the rust even the pits and then rust treatment, then an etchprimer, filler, highbuild, normal, paint and lacquer.

I have used autopaints brighton before.
I also use Autopaint St Helens http://auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/ - The colour match was good from both of these.
and for the recent respray I used http://www.jawel.co.uk/ - Can't comment on colour match from these as it was a new colour but the paint seems to have a good rep around the net and it was a really good price.
Waterbased is good to use, we use PPG, Mankiewicz and MapAero at work. They all spray well. When I started spray waterbased I went on a course at the manufacturer and they told us you have to spray until its looks like it has gone "peely" - takes some getting used to but they are right. It looks peely wet and dry's flat.
And the thinner for waterbased is free and safe, just turn the kitchen tap on!!

Owww god no. Not sure on those paints but PPG requires a special waterbased thinner, it has some solvent in it but hardly any.vti2003 wrote: And the thinner for waterbased is free and safe, just turn the kitchen tap on!!
But yer it is strange looking orange peely when wet and dries flat.
