That runs down the very centre of the extending aerial tubes, attached to the 'button' bit on the end. Because your extending bits are missing, that's why you didn't find the white teeth marked cable.Wayne2014 wrote:

They've part of the emissions control system on the engine. PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation.Wayne2014 wrote:Did ask abt "PCV and blowby"

So it's a small valve and a filter in the breather pipes, basically.
If the filter is a metal gauze type filter, you can probably just clean it rather than replace it.
If you have a look in the service manual, it'll show you where/what they are.
