Luke: 1989 4ws auto in Yorkshire
Re: Luke: 1989 4ws auto in Yorkshire
Simon
I used to work in Hong Kong when Harry Ramsden was expanding globally - it was nice to tuck in into a Harry Ramaden 1/2 way round the world with exact same quality as the mother resturant in Guiseley
Whatever happened to Harry Ramsden anyway???

@Wayne2014 Hi mate, sorry was with my client so had to log off. Never did go the rotating restaurant as I heard it was a bit ropey. I worked for McCann Erickson, heading up the marketing and communication team for Cathay Pacific as it began its tortuous "we're not British, we're Asian" re-branding. Strange, as there was nothing wrong with its Britishness but they had to look to be moving away from the old colonial days which was a pity but there you go...
Was in HK from 1993 till 2003 so became a bit of an old China hand. Ha ha (remember that place?)
It was strange wasn't it that Harry's opened and for quite a while was doing well but then the quality went seriously downhill (special HK menu, rice instead of chips, sacrilege!).
Was then transferred over to Singapore (for three memorable and fantastic years) till I started my own little venture and now am based in Malaysia so now more MTR rides for me I'm afraid.
Bet we could share a few stories of Wanchai nights eh?
(Hope the wife's not looking over your shoulder at the moment or you've got explaining to do!)
Enjoy the Glamping mate - actually, the shed thing looks pretty cool. Stay warm and enjoy yourselves.
