Try downloading a different browser (Opera, Dolphin, Firefox etc.) if you can get them for Windoze

It's youtube, so looks for Flash or HTML5 support. I have no idea if any of these are supported on Windows phones. I know not a lot actually is supported on Windows phones

The latest is that Microsoft are culling the Nokia name from the Windows phones now. Since they've finished harvesting all the stuff they wanted from the corpse of what was once the biggest mobile company in the world. Totally planned setup that one, Stephen Elop is an utter muffin.

PS - Please don't get an iPhone. There are many reasons not to, but the archaic hardware and flaky OS should be enough. Look at this for example:

What more do you need from the hardware though?
My HTC One X also dates from 2012 but the only thing hardware wise that I actually would like is more memory and longer battery life. The rest does absolutely everything I need/want it to, in spades!
(I'd add that the camera, touch screen response, OS stability, OS interface and battery life are way, way better than my work Galaxy S3 mini that was released after it!)

How is iOS flaky?
I'm on Android, Lisa is on iOS (iPhone 5).
iOS Apps are a damn site more stable than Android apps IME!
I'm drokked off with the constant updating of Android apps, eating phone storage and at each update, randomly causing that app to break on one particular phone or another (e.g. currently the latest release of Opera has completely broken it for my phone, latest release of Dolphin is preventing the browser working when on LUL wifi for some reason) etc.

I gave up on iPhones ages ago, got my HTC 1 and nothing else on the market interests me, does what I need it to do, plus meant I could get a crap phone with a PS4 on my new contract

I'll start here - I run a 2012 Nexus 4, and it does everything I could want it to. I'm not arguing that you need more features/power - I'm arguing that tech thats costs as much as an iPhone should at least be current. I'm aware not many people pony up the £650 Apple are asking, and instead take a contract, but iPhone contracts are almost always more expensive than Android ones, so you still pay a premium. For outdated hardware. That's my complaint.

Round 2 - Fight!

OK, Apple manufacture the hardware and associated software for their kit. This gives them the most controlled environment for all their stuff, and for a long time this showed. Android stuff simply wasn't as slick, smooth or integrated as the Apple stuff. Now, Apple still make all of the stack (software and hardware) yet I have never seen so many complaints from my Apple mates as when iOS 8 landed, and subsequent updates have been flaky enough that Apple have actually pulled them as they caused the phones to forget they were phones and turn into really expensive iPods. How is that happening even possible? They have full control of everything, and still they totally screw over a huge proportion of the userbase.

Android's biggest issue is that while Google make the OS, they have no control over what other OEMS do with it, or how often they push updates. This means many people are on archaic versions of Android through no fault of their own. The manufacturers simply seem to have a lack of care, especially HTC and Samsung, stranding people well behind the current release. This means stuff built to work well on current Android may not work well on your phone - that's just how it ends up. Add to this that most of these manufacturers split the on-board storage up, so you only end up with say 2GB for apps, and the rest for files, and you've suddenly got phones filling up with updates as the base software is miles behind and the manufacturer hasn't left room for these updates. Fun times.

So, Google have devised a two prong attack for this issue:
1 - Nexus Devices:
The Nexus Tablets/Phones are made by manufacturers to Google's specifications. My Nexus 4 is an LG phone. The software though, is pure Google, and is supported for ages. Despite being a 2012 phone, I'm running Android 5.0. This gives them the legs they need to compete with Apple. They also specify that the data area is one big space, not 2GB for apps and 30GB for files, just 32GB for whatever. Takes the 'full up' problem away, although given you're always on the latest Android release it's less of a problem anyway.
2 - Google Services Framework
This is a framework that all the Google, and many other, apps rely on to provide key things. Location services, security services etc etc. By separating this from Android, and making it an installable app, Google can guarantee features are available on many versions of Android, and in most cases sidestep the apathy of manufacturers to release updates. It's not a perfect system, but it's the only way they can get around big manufacturers being dicks to their users.

TL;DR - Buy Android and buy Nexus.
