Yeah it's the Ignis Sport 1.5.
Not the most exciting but it's a reliable daily that doesn't dull me to death.

Went to visit my Lude today, all very excited to see if any progress had been made.
And............

Nothing so far. :(
Bit bummed out, although it means they are not rushing anything at least and I said to take as long as they need.
I think I'm more bummed out as we've had some nice days and I could have been driving it. I do miss her, and now the conveyor belt is moving again with this project I'm excited and want to get stuck in with the engine tuck, brake refurb, etc.

What's the normals sort of time for a full respray and rust to be sorted out? I was estimated 4/6 weeks by the coach works.

So I finally got into the coach works to see how the progress is coming along.
Snapped a few pics, was an odd experience seeing the car tucked up with all it's bits off. Seems so much smaller...

Any progress is good, and happy to say no further rust was found. In fact she is in very good condition!!
Hopefully should be getting primed end of next week.

Wondering what that black substance is on the exhaust...?

Well the culprit became evident...

Going to have them cut out a small groove for the exhaust to sit in, next year I'll be upgrading anyway to a custom twin tailpipe so I'll have that fitted and angled out so this doesn't happen.

Then the arches

I was very happy to see no further rust, especially under the side skirts. :D

Now I just need to sort the colour for the alloys. Going to go a gold/bronze. Maybe Fiat750? Not sure. Any suggestions on where to look for paint codes? Or colours? I want a bright gold/bronze in a matt finish. 8-) think it will really help set the car apart

Great to see it getting the love.

The wheels look great that colour, IMO.

:? Why did they leave the gaskets on the car???

They are nice, but I think the gold will just make the difference.

Ands it's a relatively small shop. So I imagine bits will be on and off to save space for them.

GJMHonda2012 tried gold wheels on his lude the same colour as yours and there was some debate as to whether it worked or not... Have a look in his posts and you'll see...

Okay I agree. The gold doesn't work.... In my head it was better. A lot better.

This dies save me money though to be spent elsewhere.... Mwuhahahahahah
