Yep, but this is the hatchback not an estate, so already having trouble carrying all the kit around that I need.

Also a lot less equipment for the same price, doesn't even have cruise control :roll:

But you're now officially entitled to drive right up the arse of any other vehicle and pass cyclists really really closely, so there is a silver lining...

Yeah, that was another reservation I had, that now as soon as I get in the driving seat, I'm labelled a gentleman's sausage before I've even gone anywhere!!

So today was the day to get started.
Two men, some paint, a tape measure, some string, a shovel, a concrete floor, a 2-stroke cut-off saw and a breaker, all put together for the first time...
:? What could possibly go wrong? :D

Many thanks to @Donald for giving up his day today to come and help, couldn't have got this far without your help and worked like a proper trooper :hail: :hug:

Started marking out the approximate location of the ramp and from that, working out where the pads are to go, to give us the cut lines;
Image
Neither of us had ever used a cut-off saw before, but after taking a while to work out how to put the petrol in... :oops: we did a really good job with it to be honest. :D

Image

Difficult to see in the pic above, but that's a full width cut line where the new front of the new strip slab will go (and with about half of the screed broken up ready to be lifted out);
Image

And 2 rear pads, 650x650 and excavated to about 350 deep;
Image

So tomorrow I just need to finish breaking up the front strip and dig that out (that's a lot of soil to remove!) and then it's ready to place the reinforcement and be poured.
