Awesome.

So go get the wheels aligned (properly), then re-set. Am I right in believing the 4 wheel steering system can be re-set simply by disconnecting the battery?

Cheers for the info!

Follow the reset procedure, if it's still not right, get a proper alignment. As in, by a place that can do a 4WS alignment. Don't just go and get the front wheels aligned.

the 4th gen codes are the only reference I know of

and in the past have pointed to faults I have had..

so codes are similar at least

if steering wheel was messed with and not seated correctly with the notch could be the problem

Exactly what these guys have said. Its very possible that the steering wheel not being straight could cause this. The 4WS systems sensors are very sensitive to each other. Try the reset, then get a 4ws alignment done as said by these guys. If its still throwing that code after all that then it will req a replacement angle sensor.

So...I have just come back from having all the wheels aligned, I'm told the front was pretty pissed. I will try a re-set (unplugging the battery will do?)

Appreciate the help, chris

Did you get a 4 wheel alignment or an alignment for a car with four wheel steering?

Most places don't know the difference and you really have to labour the point.
Do that, it's not hard.

I stressed it was a 4ws car, and the chap seemed to know his Preludes...I'll assume hes done the correct thing. I will try to re-set the system. Im told you simply disconnect the battery? If this fails replace the sensor on the steering rack?

thanks again

Do the proper reset procedure. It recalibrates the system so you can guarantee the parameters are set correctly.

IIRC on the 4th gen it was sufficient to just disconnect the battery because the rack/wheel/notch business was different. 5th gen it's more complicated.

The appropriate procedure has been linked several times already, but one more time: http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... -t102.html
