Yes. If you had the small support bar when you had the accident then the damage would have been even worse. I'm just putting it out there for the JDM owners, if they get the chance replace the bars for future.

Subtle, but I love it. That pic of yours and Sam's is pure sex - like they were separated at birth!

thing is if you have a small bump in the jdm it will affect the bumper bar and the bumper if you have the same bump in a UK car it could possibly pass the damage onto the chassis rails

Ok first time attempting to detail the car with a DA polisher. Had a lot of help from our in-house detailers/experts. 8-) 8-)

I was scared about going straight on to a Black paint job, as some people said that I can ruin the paint etc etc.. :?

So tackled my Carbon Fibre bonnet, if I messed that up that would be ok as I was going to get that re-sprayed anyways. It was already badly faded and you can see the white-ness on it..

Steps I did:

1. Wash the bonnet and Dry..

2. Then Clayed it (using Meguair's Clay bar and quick detailer to keep the bonnet moist).

3. Then masked up the areas which I didn't want to do such as the headlights and the wings. Wanted to do one section at a time so divided the bonnet in to three parts

4. DA Polisher out with Merguair's Ultimate Compound. . Wiped down with simple micro fibre cloth.

5. Then DA polisher again with Meguair's Ultimate Polish.

6. Lastly to protect the polish, Used Meguair's NXT Tech 2.0 Wax using their own application pad and micro fibre cloth.

I am no detailer and there are still scratch marks there, but most of them are gone (75% or scratches/swirl marks are gone). 8-) 8-) Soon as it dried up the white-ness has returned but the bonnet is so smooth and shiny.

Will try to do this to the whole car once I have the whole day free.

That looks great! That is what should have been done to my carbon bonnet but some chump painted it and ruined it beyond repair.

The whitish tint is still there and shows a lot when it's dry but majority of it is gone and it's now swirl/scratch free.

Must try and get the whole car done so I can take some nice photos (which I haven't done in a long time)

Good work @nitin_s1, I still haven't plucked up the courage to break my DA out yet!

I was the same being scared of using the DA. It's due a re-spray in car's Black colour so if I messed up it would be ok.
