Wiper Refrub

Making a start on tidying the bodywork up a bit now my coilovers are on the way 8-) and my wheels are getting refurbed

Started off with the wipers as they were looking a bit weathered

Image

Started off my attacking them with this

It's pretty useless... So I upgraded

Which was better.
After some agitation with a toothbrush and a stanley blade I ended up with this

Then for the paint. This is what I used.

Image

Etch Primed.

Primer.

Image

Paint.

Finished result.

It's not 100%. But its alot better than it was

Good job Mart. A bit overkill for me though.
I rub mine down with progressively finer wet and dry to shiney metal, clean the muck of with a microfibre cloth then smoothrite them they last about 2-3 years
I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

more progress.
Started fitting the Tein coilovers yesterday.

Opening the box  :scaredtoss:

Image

Doing the rear first

One side off
Image

other side off
Image

Have to use my existing top mounts and I didn't have any spring compressors. so had to wait till today to use the ones at my mates garage so had to leave it like this yesterday

Image

Swapped the top mounts over lunchtime so fitted the rear tonight

one side back on
Image

Then it started hammering it down with rain (completely my luck as aways) so I just had time to fit the other side before getting soaked

Image

I've left the fronts for tomorrow as I couldn't be bothered to sit in the rain. :D
