That's a bummer :(

On the plus side, you may now be the official LG/Honda parts middle-man

Bombed filler flap

Post by Merlin » Wed Apr 04, 2012 8:32 pm

Yeah its a bummer but we're going to give it another go tomorrow night unless its snowing :D

Since I couldnt fix it at the weekend I bombed the fuel filler flap. Instead of single sickers I used an A4 size vinyl sticker bomb sheet.

I sealed it around the edges with super sticky black tape. Even with all the cold temps, rain, and snow it still looks the same as when it went on. Hopefully it will be durable.

Damage

Post by Merlin » Sun Apr 08, 2012 8:43 pm

We managed to strip the car and thankfully there wasn't any major hidden damage that I couldn't see before:

The bent ARB drop link

The only extra damage we found was the lower arm bush (2294) it got chewed up by the arm pivoting on the bush :( JDM-BB4 (who I bought the kit off) told me the story that when the Master Kit arrived for him there was a bush missing and that ES sent a new bush out for him, he found the original bush so there was a bush spare.

Thankfully that extra bush was the exact one that was borked on the car

This old radius rod is probably more than half the reason why the nut made a break for freedom! (new one on the right ;))

Hopefully back on the road soon :D

Cool man! Glad there was no hidden issues!

Awesome, you were due some better luck with the car and that spare bush sure came in handy.
ES sent me 2 extra by error when I found one missing from the kit. :)
