Very pink  8-)

Thought whilst I was in Boston I would go to the Science museum, hoping it wouldn't be as bad as London's.

drokking bum droppings. Even the toilets are a disappointment, still using paper towels to dry hands. What the hell is that all about. It's 2014 and across the river from MIT.

Yeah, I finished all the wiring off at the weekend and have been neatly wrapping it since. Everything is in place bar fitting fuel lines, rad hoses, a lambda sensor in the exhaust and a few other easy bits. So it is a bit of a random choice to change. But I learnt a lot about the Golf in the process and I think the turbo lump will be a more rewarding engine swap despite being much more challenging. Plus the new engine was a steal and local 8-)

In the meantime I'll probably run the 2 litre 8v lump in the Golf as I have parts which I need to gather for the new lump.

Picked up my 20v turbo lump today. The garage I picked it up from was full of hot rods and classic cars, apparently a local collector has a lock up nearby and uses them for the work he needs doing. He certainly had some nice V8 classics sitting around. Turns out two of the local Mk2 Sciroccos I've seen about also belong to lads there, so I felt right at home - I definitely want to buy mine back now :( The chap selling my engine actually has a mk1 Golf, he was going 20v turbo but the power he wanted was going to cost too much via that route so he's bought an E30 M3 and has chopped his Golf up to fit the engine and drivetrain

At any rate after I calmed down from the excitement of all the motors there I got my engine loaded up:

The guy I bought it off is also chucking in the ECU and loom for me, so I've got to go back and remove that at some point. I'm also going to work out what else I need and will more than likely be buying some more Golf bits from him in the very near future
