Crickey is that what they cost? Was as said, hoping to pick up for about £600.....Maybe that was a little underestimated on my behalf.

If that is the case i wont be in a poistion to buy one then.

if you cant find a lude with a decent engine for that price you know where to find me

mine is a jdm h22a with only 80k on the engine.
lsd gearbox, fidanza flywheel and exedy clutch

£700 for the above including inlet manifold and loom!

If you spend sub £1000, and I'm sure they are out there, it'll come with a host of issues that'll probably cost you more in the long run, unless you are really lucky it's a false economy.

This would probably be the best route to take tbh mate, that sounds like a cracking deal there. Otherwise as said, 1.5-2k for a good 5th gen

And also, if you do decide just buying an engine would be easier.. im travelling down to sommerset, from glasgow, on sunday so I can drop it off for an extra £50 or so in diesel to jump over to Totton

On the other hand, I do believe that useable Ludes will never be cheaper than they are now. Especially 2.2s.

If you don't want a mint example, then they are out there for your budget Peachy, you don't need to spend £1.5k. It just depends what you're after.
