Parts from UK finally arrive!

Post by simonc » Mon Aug 04, 2014 9:49 am

Great start to week as the parts I'd bought from Tim way back in January finally arrived chez simonc this afternoon. Brilliant, now I've got all the body work bits I need (headlights, indicators + other little bits) to take her to the bodyshop and get her looking elegantly dangerous once more.

Bloody expensive package!

Hi vanzep, do you mean that heat shield thing that I used to have on? I asked Aaron about that and because of new pipes it doesn't fit anymore. Is there a 'larger' one I could use?
Also, sorry to sound like an arse but what does the 'S' type intake look like?
Ta, Simon.

The cooling plate diverts more air to your radiator and tidies up the look of the bay imo.
There is a link on the forum somewhere which shows the dimensions of the plate if you want to get it made up locally. I will have a look and post up the link when i find it :)
Type S intake is an OEM intake which showed best results on dyno - showed better results than any other induction/air intake pipe.
Here is a recent pic of my lude with both

Does the cooling plate actually make a difference or does it just look good? Because it looks to me that the rubber seals under the bonnet shut off that 'cooling plate' area anyway..

by fitting a cooling plate the air coming in from the front of the bumper and the nostrils is diverted from going up under the bonnet to through the radiator - did you read pushkis post....or there will be someithing on the internet under Forbiden Motorsport as they were the original manufacturer of this plate and a few other good parts for the lude :)

No I haven't read his post yet, I'll have a look. It just seems from looking under my own bonnet that that area is actually already sealed off by the rubber gaskets and the bonnet, there doesn't seem to be anywhere else the air can go when the bonnet is shut - if you know what I mean.
