The 'look at what I did today' thread
Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

I bet those flamingo shorts have been freshly washed and pressed.

Had a great evening in the Hydro watching the boxing finals in the Commonwealth Games - Womens Middle and Men's Welter, Middle, Light Heavy, Heavy and Super Heavy.
A packed house, a great atmosphere, a robbed dancing Mauritian, a lot of English gold and a lot of great boxing
5 rows back from ringside, perfect view. Cost 120 quid but worth every single penny - how often in your life do you get to see this?
Here's Joe Joyce winning the Super Heavy:

Who robbed him and what was he dancing about?

Hadn't noticed thatSailor wrote: Interesting that it's on a Q plate.

Being an 80s cossie, odds on it having been written off in a crash and/or stolen/recovered are very high, so probably a re-shell..?
I would like a completely unmolested sapphire cossie in graphite grey with black leather interior, just a sort of left over hankering of youth... Unmolested cossies though are like rocking horse jobby though. The basic car is such old old technology too, it must be said - it hasn't aged well

Was out in the country (proper country) today and found this big fecker:

She tried to get a picture for scale bit it went blurry and sideways for some reason (http://i60.tinypic.com/23wkykm.jpg) so here's one from Google Images:

Turns into the lovely Elephant hawk-moth (Deilephila elpenor for @lxstuart)

https://www.google.com/search?site=&tbm ... gws_rd=ssl
I've been geeking out a bit lately as we currently have Hummingbird Hawk-moths in the garden and I've found several pupae in the soil when digging.
Sort of related but one of the cats keeping bringing in live dragonflies, very cool and very big (3-4 inches in length) but I still have to catch one to have a better look and obviously bore you all with it
