Rear arm.

Post by GreenyUK » Thu Jul 31, 2014 8:10 pm

@4thgenphil this is the arm I was talking about at the national, And the circled bit is the ball joint I was hoping to be able to get separate as it's bolted up to the arm.
Could you confirm whether I can get this part or I do indeed need a whole arm :(

Or anyone for that matter

When I did the suspension on my 4th gen I tried my hardest but I couldnt find them. They were only available as part of the whole arm from Honda. In the end I bought a set of aftermarket toe arms. The pair was cheaper than a single OEM arm.

Yeah phil was saying he thinks it's and arm only, but I didn't explain it very well at the time lol so just wanted to confirm.

And you'll have to excuse my stupidity  but they look like the the drop links? So different part?
Although I suppose a little long.

Edit* I think I see it now lol

Yeah it sure is. I think this pair is like two hundred and something so not cheap really. Main dealers are always mentally priced sadly

If someone can get one of the arms to lammy, he might be able to match the end joint to something cheaper?

Here is a pic of the bushes for the toe arm-

Honda do sell this part seperately it looks a tricky job to remove the old bushes and press the new ones in as the metal hoop in the arm that they fit into is very thin...Honda part no.52357-SS0-013.
Dont know if any of this helps but im sure @JDM-BB4 had a set of complete oem arms for sale - that was along time ago and i dont know if he still has them :?

Hey mate, i was pretty sure they could actually be removed as they are just bolted to the arm.
I wasn't sure if you could order just the ball joint, which seems you can't you have to get a hole arm :/ which is pants.
Although you say you have a spare...

Never though about replacing the bushes too whilst the 2ws frame is off the car.

I sold the pair I had one was brand new from honda the other has in good condition with a new bush pressed in.

If anyone is replacing the bushes, be careful as they are slightly tapered and will only come out and go in one way.
