Wake up? I'm surprised I'm still breathing after the weekend of lugging crap around that I've had!

I might also have had a few celebratory drinks this evening, too... ;-)

Just getting that ramp - that's what I've been so excited about for the last couple of weeks. It's gonna make such a massive difference once it's up and running, I can really crack through stuff on my cars :D
Just need to finalise how I'm gonna install it now and then get that sorted...

Couldn't go and get the new CX yesterday though because the brake light output on the socket on the back of the hire van stopped working!

- Is your car feeling a bit under the weather?
- Do the letters M.O.T. cause you to break out into a cold sweat?
- Does the thought of a weekend in dirty overalls make you weak at the knees?

Leave your worries far behind you!

Proudly Introducing...

- Weekends @ Wurly's -

Now you too can experience the thrill of having your pride and joy hoisted high in front of your very eyes by the marvel of modern hydraulics. Spend some quality time gently tickling that neglected underbelly all the while admiring a rare collection of yester-year's classics, nestled lovingly amongst ever nook and cranny of the 'showroom'.

Yes that's right folks, weekend passes are now available at the friendliest Prelude workshop this side of Timbuktu! A place where nobody is judged for rusty quarter-panels, or leaky radiator hoses. So what are you waiting for, wheel out that old girl for a weekend of pampering she won't forget in a hurry. Just remember to bring biscuits!

Also included - Free "Everyone loves Nitin" badges for the first 10 bookings.
1999 Honda Prelude 2.2 VTI Motegi (H22A8/BB8) - 5G parts wanted
2005 Ducati 999S

 @ Spydor
There is a way to go yet before that though - got floor digging out to do and reinforced level concrete pads to install, then about 150m of 3-phase armoured cable to 'find' somewhere and get it wired in back to the distribution board.
Then need to find a 'scrap' mezzanine floor so I can install workshop/storage space over the cars, wash tank, pillar drill, racking and press to procure... (Oh I have such a massive wish list  ) Not sure how much room is left on my credit cards! :? But this whole buying cars and tools thing sure is fun!

@ jj, yeah you were right! Definitely worked before I set out on Saturday morning (I tested them) but not when I tested them on Sunday morning, so I guess something went wrong during Saturday. Everything else was ok on the trailer (tail, indicator etc) just the brake lights. No output on the brake wires at the socket on the van.

Wouldn't have mattered too much for the Saturday - van brake lights fully visible with trailer/ramp bed, but that wouldn't have been the case with a CX on the back.

Same goes for the trailer number plate - I forgot to fit that on Saturday  but the plate on the back of the van would have been fully visible from all angles as required by law, so no worries there.

Just looked up the specs for the engine in that van btw :geek: - 3.0Hdi, 177bhp@3500rpm, :o 295lb/ft@1400 rpm  No wonder it was so damn quick! It did 33mpg too and could tow up to 3tonnes. Excellent van, it must be said :ugeek:

Navarra next weekend for picking up the CX though (don't need the load bed of a van and better visibility)
