Re: W1GGZ BB4 Track Lude ATR Brakes & Motegi wheels
Well I'm just waiting to pick my mate up then we are off to Combe
Yesterday I managed to get the oil and filter change done and swap in some new plugs and the leads I bought off here, didn't get time to clean the car which is a shame as it's covered in overspray from painting the camper,
Fitted my rota on last night that are 17x8 et 40 with 235/40/17 ns2rs on and there was no rubbing till I loaded all my spare wheels in and my tools, no scrubbing on lock just on bumps and left hand bends. the drivers side is slightly lower than the passenger side but had no time to sort this.

W1GGZ BB4 Track Lude ATR Brakes & Motegi wheels
Ok so here's a few pics from the track day, as you know I fitted the massive 8j wheels with 235/40/17 on I had a fair amount of scrubbing on the way to Combe with my 4 ATR wheels and tool in the back. After unloading we went through noise test and scored 86db so still a bit more can be done to the exhaust
.
I went out for the sighting lap and was scrubbing like mad in the corners so I came back in parked up next to 2 porche gt3s took my wheels off and got the lump hammer out
arches rolled
No more scrubbing so on for some hard laps.
Mr honda hardy turned up before he went to work and got to watch me chasing a lotus Elise round the track

Sorry for the bad pics I haven't been able to log into the photographers page to get the high res pics.
I was chasing this dude for about 5 laps and was gaining on him when he divided to do a cooling lap and go in.
I got my fastest lap time chasing this guy of 1.23:75 I started the day on 1.28 and took a while to get used to the new tyres and suspension but the car feels so much better, I massively need to get the alignment done as I'm constantly fighting the car and was knackered after a few laps.
Just before lunch I went back out and was gunning for a faster time which led me to making a stupid mistake in the chicanes, some of you have seen the video all ready here's a few of the pics. After breaking down the straight I lifted off turned in then tapped the break again which through the balance off and round we went.

At this point I was stuck and couldn't move anywhere , looks like we did about 60mph into the field but this field was a great way to stop as it did no damage to the car other than the corner of the bumper popping off, they then had to drag me out backwards

:):)
Back out after lunch with no issues my mates m3 is no longer getting away as quickly as it used to from me now that I have better grip and turn in so a great day out loads of fun had and lessons learned lol
