What did you find wrong with the last clutch you took out?
Have you got any pics of it?
Or still got it so you can take some pics now? :D

The first clutch we took out had come apart completely - the dampening springs had sheared off and the friction plate had separated from the body of the clutch iirc :?

Well that first one is a straight component failure. Clasic fracture from the highest stressed position. The clutch manufacturer would have had no recourse on that failure if you'd claimed against them.

I assume that's the replacement in the same photo? :? Looks like a chunk is missing from the friction material on that one, before it was even fitted?! (left hand side, outer edge about quarter to 9 position...)

Il put pics up tomorrow but it's shattered into 3 prices with cracks all around the plate :( by the looks of it, the middle part on the plate has been hitting the rivits for the outer part which has caused fractures and then breakage.

Had a look at the old one and it's done the same. So we came up with the conclusion that the car has too much power for an oem clutch.

Il be sending the old one back and hopefully get some money back, then il get an uprated kit. The only ones I can find is a panther performance kit, either stage 1 £155 or stage 2 £195. Duno if it's a risky brand to go for tho :/

Now I'm pretty sure what keeps causing them to break I can sort it n il probably keep her as long as nothing else goes wrong lol

I'm going to get the flywheel tested but it does look ok and skimmed if needed :)

Now it a just a waiting game to see what exedy say lol.
