I'm having my own storage crisis now
my parents are are moving house on the 8th of July
The good news is that the new house is an old farm
the bad news is that prior to the move I need to shift my 6th gen Accord from their house so they can sort the drive. This poses a problem as I do not have space for 7 cars at my house without breaking Laura's 'no parking on the lawn' rule
So it looks like the Accord will be moved to my house, the Golf (which I will miraculously get running in time
) will go back to their house as it has tax and insurance so can be moved on to the road when required. Then on the day of the move, the Accord will go from my house to the garage at the farmhouse
the Golf will then come back to me, and the Isuzu will be left up the farm for horse feed/bedding duties
Problem solved, apart from this means moving cars on 2 separate dates ( 2 separate rentals if I get a truck/trailer ), and access to both my parents old house and new house is pretty much a no go for lorries (I usually get my cars moved by a friend with a 7.5t flat bed lorry)
So that kind of left me with the option of renting a trailer. I've asked around and nowhere local will rent me one, understandably as I only have provisional B+E entitlement. My Dad then offered to buy a trailer (I've finally broken his mind
) but I felt bad about that so I've been ringing around today to buy one myself
as it happens I nipped round to see my mate with the flat bed lorry this eve about something unrelated, whilst I was there I was joking about the predicament and he said 'why don't you just borrow my trailer'
I didn't think to ask him if he had one earlier
So yeah, I'm kind of hoping this doesn't all go tits up
It's almost as if having this many cars is not practical

Hmmm, that whole lots of cars/practicality thing sounds familiar!
you have a tow vehicle but no trailer and no full license.
I have a full license and a trailer, have just ordered a load of new 5t ratchet straps and wheel tie down straps and am intending on buying a car ramp that's currently for sale in Sussex and using my trailer to pick it up and move it back to Essex but will need a hand dismantling/loading it and to hire a vehicle to tow my trailer...

Can you see the beginnings of plan there maybe?
