full engine refresh rebuild on the cards.
Been talking to rich @performanceautoworks and im getting quite excited. i will know by the end of the day. rich is happy to sort out the work, just got one hurdle and that is the wife...
Parts
All engine gaskets and seals (head and block)
Genuine OEM piston rings
All crankshaft bearings
Water Pump
Timing belt and balance shaft belt
EITHER OEM auto tensioner and both roller bearings OR full manual tensioner conversion (a little cheaper)
New OEM crank pulley (unless rich is happy to use the one @4thgenphil is selling).
New NGK platinum plugs
All fluids and oil filter.
Engineering works
head skim, crankshaft journal polish, valve and seat cut
Labour
Engine removal and full strip down of block and head.
Hot tank clean of head and block (includes de-coke of cylinder head)
Inspection
De-coke pistons and clearing of gas holes
De-glaze cylinder bores in preparation for new rings
Rebuild using all the new parts as listed above
Fresh fluids
but. i will also need to buy a runaround car, the job is going to take 2-3 weeks depending if all goes well. so ill be looking for another cheap prelude that has some tax and ticket. but tbh any car will do as it will only be used to get me out the do do as i need to still get to work and be on call for work.
