As anyone who has read my new member thread will know, I bought this in January this year from a guy who had owned the car from 10 months old. It was completely standard. Until the last 3 years it had been garaged its entire life. I paid him £700 and drove it away with ideas of changing into what I wanted. Then I went all daft and started spending on it thinking that I'd have it for years. I've done just under 2000 miles in it so far, and every one has been awesome.
Since buying it has changed quite a bit and I've tried to use only quality parts. Current spec is as follows:
New adjustable BC Coilovers (2 months old

Fully refurbished (gunmetal grey) and unmarked genuine Work Emotion CR Kai (17")
New Yokohama Parada Spec 2 all round (3 months old)
Blue locking wheel nuts
DC induction kit
Front strut brace that I've never even got around to fitting
New rear window lower trim as the old one was a bit wobbly
New leather gear gaiter
Alpine head unit with bluetooth, iPod connectivity (lead installed just under panel for instrument light adjustment so your iPod isn't on show anywhere), hands free mic connected and installed just above A pillar with wire running behind dash
New Alpine speakers all round that fit OEM holes
5th Gen Prelude moon roof conversion - less that 4 months old (OEM one was rusty and looked horrid)
4" stainless exhaust, not sure of make - bought from here
Decat
Currently it sits quite low - enough to use daily, but avoiding speed humps is probably best.
The car as standard was in very good condition. Bubbling is starting on the N/S rear arch and will need attention at some point, but no holes at the moment. O/S arch is good. Few marks on rear bumper but they could be smart repaired or a new rear bumper is available on here right now I think, and in the right colour. There's a couple of very solid bubbly bits appearing near rear window but they are very very solid and nothing needs doing with them yet.
The guy I bought it from had it serviced religiously. As such it has a full Honda service history from new, complete with receipts and all notes he had made about what was done and when. He never missed a service and only used the Honda dealer for work needed. It was his pride and joy and he only used it on special occasions hence the stupidly low mileage which is genuine.
I have the OEM wheels shed in brand new Bridgestone tyres, the original exhaust (that was just over a year old brand new from Honda), the old sunroof, the OEM shocks too, which are currently fitted with a set of Tein springs that I had on for about 4 weeks before deciding that I wanted to go lower and buying the BC coilovers. I still have the box and everything for the Teins - they're on sale on a separate thread on here at the moment but if you buy the car you can have them too to sell on or whatever you want to do with them.
It runs without fault. No problems at all. I've used this every day since buying it, have travelled 500 miles + in a weekend (to Mimms) and it never misses a beat. Great on the motorway, exhaust isn't droney at high speeds either. But it is loud when you hoof it around town. Everyone will hate you. It's good fun.
The engine bay is in silly good condition, the only mod apart from the DC induction kit are some Tegiwa anodised washers to replace the discoloured mild steel bolts that were in there. The only work necessary has been a new CV boot as the old one had enough when the coilovers went on and the geometry changed a bit. That happened the day before mimes and was fixed 2 days after with a new boot.
Hopefully you're getting the idea that when I have a car, I spend money on it as and when it's needed, and don't cut corners.
It also has the OEM tool kit in the spare wheel which is a full size OEM alloy.
Everything works from electric sunroof, cruise control, windows - all function as they should. No dash lights out, everything as it should be. I even stuck some of those Philips Bluetec bulbs in the other week or whatever they're called.
Oh and the 4WS works perfectly, and the tyres don't rub at all.
If you're following the UKDMhatesyou Instagram account then you've seen the progression of this since I've had it. If you haven't, then this means absolutely nothing to you, so just ignore it.
I'm not going to get back what I put into it - the wheels, refurb and tyres cost me over £600 and the coilovers £650 alone, but I just don't want to break it. I hate the faffing about and I hate the fact that it's so sorted as it is now. I also don't really have the time for that as I start the new job in a couple of weeks and need to go and buy myself a dullard commute wagon.
Some of you saw it at Mimms so you'll hopefully know how decent it is.
Private plate won't be included obviously. It'll go back to an M reg.
That's about it really. If I had a garage then I'd keep it. Well, I would if my Mrs wasn't moaning about running two cars. I'd probably hide it in there and "lose" the key or something. As it is though that isn't going to happen.
I'm asking £1700 which I think is pretty fair. There are cheaper 4th gens by far, but they don't have the history or the mods that this does. I just hope someone wants it and doesn't buy to break. I'll check MOT and such tonight but I'm very very confident it'll go through regardless - it's had money thrown at it whenever needed so nothing has been left to become a problem.
