Red carpet dyed and fitted

Post by honda-hardy » Sat May 31, 2014 11:32 pm

so after buying a red carpet that had thin areas, i decided that before i completely write it off and throw it in the bin that i would give it one last chance.
i went online and looked for options, and came across a fabric spray that i managed to buy from ebay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIMPLY-SPRAY- ... 1c38a75084

these are tiny cans of spray that are very low pressure and tend to splatter so i used an inch paint brush to spread the blotches.
i will also add that 2 cans was not enough, i should really have used 3 or 4 to stain it deeper.

so i removed my interior and i was gutted that i didn't find any coins, Japanese or uk. grrr.

although the colour of the freshly sprayed carpet was not a 100% match, it made a whole load of difference. but it is still thin in places due to the carpet being plastic backed and this would not stain.

and now with the seats installed.
