Then I`m broke...
Rear bearing costs ~ 70 gbp + installation = half of my pay...

TBH its best replacing both, if you really get stuck I'm sure someone local can help out as its a relatively easy job to do. Only problem I have is I dont have a socket big enough for the bearing nut. @nafemannathan can you remember what size the nut was?

If you turn (obviously whilst going along) and the sound disappears, then whatever direction you turned is the side of the bad bearing.

e.g. You turn left, if the sound stops then it's coming from the left hand side.

For some reason I'm thinking 36mm @newkid, but I might have made that up

Cheers, definitely don't have anything that size, looks like I'm borrowing off my mate when I finally come round to doing mine.

The problem is - the sound doesn't changes when I`m turning on sides.. the sound does changes when the road surface changes from old asphalt to new...
I think if that was bearing the sound will be similar in all type of road right?
@newkid I can drive to Edinburgh Saturday so we can meet and make a test drive..

Ah, do you know I can't remember. I have both 32mm and 36mm, so just used whichever fit  I'd go with 32mm like Merlin says though. Fronts are definitely 36mm.
