4g speaker sizes?
Post by alinton » Fri May 23, 2014 10:01 am
Would anyone care to help me out and tell me the speaker sizes in a 4g car?
Front and rears, incl max depths please.
The cars in the body shop at the mo, but I want to order some new speakers for when it returns next week. And recommendations of manufacturers/models would be appreciated too!

Vibes
Whatever sounds good to you is all that matters.
If it was me i would be getting some second hand Genesis A16 comps from ebay or talkaudio. Or Audison Voce, Hybrid Audio Mirus/Imagine/Clarus range or midrange Pioneers.
As Mario said. Rears are not needed. Dont waste your money on them.

If you go to philharmony/theatre/outside for a concert have you got anybody playing/singing behind you?
It's all about our ears. You can easily say from what direction is the sound comming but only if it's on front of you. It's not so easy when sound comes from the back.
The main problem is they only damage stereo scene.
The only reason I can agree is what LLL did. He didn't wanna have sub in his boot so he used some IIRC 6x9 mounted in parcel shelf, and he limited them only to play low frequencies. But still it isn't what I would do.
Spend good money for good speakers, use soundedening (doors all around as a minimum) and you wont need subwoofer unless you need back massage while driving
