Not sure about 15" and I'm affraid it won't work with OEM prelude wheels. I'm rolling 16" and there is some extra room.

The 'lude is a heavy car and and only loses out on the track by most cars being able to out brake her. I've tried everything over the years to cure disk warping and spongy pedal and the best combination I've found is:

Good quality blank disks (slotted disks will eat a complete set of Mintex pads in one track day and dimpled disks will crack);
Hawk HP+ pads (or yellow stuff) Forget green stuff altogether. A set of HP+ will do 4 track days)
Braided brake lines;
Dot 4 racing fluid (even Halford's own will work).

At the end of the day you can use whatever you like. Just stay with DOT4. And remember that better fluid you use more often you will have to change it. IIRC honda recommend doing this every year (or two) anyway

So... No point IMHO. Standard brake system -> road use -> standard brake fluid. If you gonna track your car then yes, higher spec will be better, but still this discs aren't good enough for even one good track sesion

If you are referring to EBC blank discs I would disagree with you. I managed to get at least 6-8 track sessions out of these discs and discs like them.

As for fluid the Castrol Castrol React Performance Dot 4 is pretty much the same price as OEM but I would bet that it has a higher temp rating.

OEM fluid - http://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/genuine- ... -p-67.html

Castrol Castrol React Performance Dot 4 - http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-742-castrol ... fluid.aspx

I think the OEM calipers are decent and provide a good amount of stopping power. Where they let themselves down in how they cope with heat.

I agree with Merlin. As mentioned in my earlier post I have tried every combination of disk and pad and it has cost me a lot of money over the years. My conclusion after 12 years of tracking my 'lude is that the pad needs to be harder than disk so that the disk wears rather than the pad. My logic is that if the pad is softer than the disk then although the pad wears it absorbs the heat so the minute you stop the heat built up in the pad has to go somewhere. And yes the only two places it can go is into the disk or into the caliper. So either your disk warps because the red hot pads will transfer their heat into the disk (this is why a slow down lap is so important) or your fluid boils (because your calipers gets very, very hot).

Now if the pad is harder than the disk than the disks will wear slightly more than the pads. Again the warm down lap is very important but have you ever heard of warped pads? Forget slotted, dimpled or bigger disks, just give using a better quality pad a try. (Hawk HP+, Ferodo or Yellow stuff). You only need them on the front, but don't forget you will also need braided lines and racing fluid.

Colin (just about to scrap my 'lude and I'm very sad about it)

Im sorry to hear your scrapping your lude @cford!!
Rot taken hold or something else??

I got castrol react performance in the end aswell, just waiting for my hoses to arrive so I can fit it all..

since I may have sold my civic and some parts I saved for it im guna have some cash to burn on the Lude, so I thought about changing the rear pads too, anyone know what the balance/bias is on a 4th gen? 60% front, 40% rear??

Thought about red stuff for the rears, what have you guys found effective?

A set of Mintex pads on the rear will be enough. Even now with 8 pot calipers on the front I use OEM style mintex pads on the rear with blank discs.
