 Is that right? I hadn't thought about it tbh, but now I do, yes that sounds familiar! I'll check... :hurr:
I do have another concern about it though, will pm you rather than bore everyone else with more insurance stuff

ps TPO / DOC abbreviations taking me right back to the 'fun' evenings running countless quotations through the quote engine via an AS/400 mainframe front end and seeing the summary screens coming up showing applicable extensions/exclusions against each providers quote ;)
I'll respond to your pm when I'm on a computer rather than a phone

When I first started in a brokers, we quoted out of guides and had to go through half a dozen by hand to get the best price. For the difficult ones, we had to plead with the boss to use the machine. I think it was called a Quotel or something. You had to fill in a form and convert quote details into numbers. 1 for male, 2 for female and so on. You ended up with a list of 40 maybe more digits which you typed into and old computer (with no screen) which was attached to a phone line. One digit wrong and the whole quote was drokked. Then wait an hour or so and a quote would come back on the type writer on a till roll. Ah the 80s.

I finished my quick scrub up/paint of the inlet manifold for my Golf. It's nowhere near perfect but at least it's not red any longer - should look fine once it's in the engine bay 8-)

Unfortunately not, with the credit limit I could only buy half. Going by your description, I'd prefer the passenger side

Nah. We're back down to two and a half. And my shopping list isn't the same as Mrs Sailor's.

I'd never used ebay before and wanted to see how it works. I figured that if I bid half of what I thought the car was worth, I'd learn the process with minimal risk. And if I accidentally ended up buying something, I could still turn a profit.

Even better, I might have liked the car ...

[PS: I stopped at £450 - it went for £846.98]
