Well it was an Audi a8l 2008, a bumper is between £100-£300 and I spose fitting it and spraying it will be £500, hire car while its in the shop won't be too bad I get discount with Avis so that's covered, I mean if it was £1500-2000 I'd be ok but if he goes looking for more il leave it too the insurancebb1boy wrote:^^ if you can afford it, that's the best way for sure.

Only report it to the insurance company if the guy wants to go that way. Best if you can afford to pay for his damage though.
Tell the insurance company if they get involved "you are not claiming on your insurance for your car" then thats bugger all to do with them regarding the Lude. Looks an easy fix so don't worry. If I am wrong I am sure Shiny will put us straight when he sees this.
Shame when your pride and joy gets bent its disheartening every time you see it. I hope it works out OK for you.
As for premiums going up Admiral stuck me for an extra £70 a year although I was not even in the car at the time , the third party admitted liability and it was paid for by their insurance company. If you can keep them out of it so much the better!

I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

I spose I will just have to wait and see what his next move is and take it from there, if he lets me repair then that's great but if he insists on insurance then that sucks for me and it will go up like crazy next year
