Went over tonight (to retrieve house keys left in the white BB4 since last weekend :roll: ) and obviously couldn't resist more of a look over it ;)

Discovered that a mouse has previously done some munching on both rear corners of the boot carpet :evil: Not horrendous by any means, but obviously that will want replacing.

Anyway, 2 questions...

It has an immobiliser fitted. Is this an original fitment? Thinking it might be, on account of the red and black casings?

Secondly, this is in the boot - there's 2 brackets on the rear panel that look like they should be holding something. What is missing from here?;

Yeah after market immobiliser fitted and those brackets could be to hold the tool kit. But mind never had them.

I believe that, in some markets, the toolkit was in a plastic box, rather than a tray in the wheel-well, and that the box was attached to these brackets. Alarm is non O.E. but an aftermarket contemporary fitment. Have you received the brochure copy yet? have you met up with Flasman yet? He's promised me the motorised passenger side rear view mirror from his white 3g that he's scrapping.

Not met up with Flashman yet but been in touch and am going over there at the weekend sometime.

Not got the brochure yet either I'm afraid.

I have the toolkit (at least, I think that's what it is) in a plastic box on the right hand side of the boot.

I haven't gone poking around much yet, but where should the jack and the handle for the jack be?

Not sure if it's the same in Preludes, but in my Accord they're in the spare wheel well, clipped to the back (as in closest to the arse end of the car)

:facepalm: just remembered that I do actually have the owners manual for the car... I suppose I should just go and read that! :lol:

Jack and handle belong in the boot, plastic cover on rhs of boot inner wing. Twist outer cover off, jack and handle belong in bracket attached to inner wing, hope brochure arrives soon. Don't forget there's a full w/shop manual available on the forum. P.S. It's over a 1000 pages long!!
