Roof Racks

Post by GOONIESnvrSAYdie » Mon May 12, 2014 10:48 pm

Just bought a new mountain bike recently. Even after taking the wheels off I can't fit it into my 5th Gen. The pedals get snagged.

So I'm thinking roof bars, maybe another option I haven't thought off?

Does anyone have roof bars for their bike, what's a popular model to go with? This is something I know nothing about, other than I thought roof racks were for Dubbers and families haha.

Not available anymore as I bought this Thule pack ;) :
2x Square Thule roof bars
Thule 750 foot pack
Thule 1074 Honda Prelude fitting pack.
Thule 774 short roof adaptor
( pics here )

Not tested yet because some parts are missing but I am now looking for a Thule 591 bike carrier, reviewed by the german ADAC and bikeradar :

Without the 774 short roof adapter, it looks like this :

other french prelude owners did this :

Thanks for all that info. Halfrauds sell that brand of roofrack I think. I'll have to go online and have a look or pop down.
