I think the whole thing was made that much easier because I didn't really have a choice. The cord was wrapped around his neck as well and I didn't even batter an eyelid at untangling that. When I think back to it now it was all so surreal.

I have to bow down to Stace, as in all seriousness it must have been so unbelievably scary to know that only I and a towel were waiting down there to receive baby

Anyway, it's all been too exciting today, and although I don't really feel like it I should really get some sleep.

The cord thing must have been scary for you bud, when my daughter was born she was blue in the face and the nurses had to run off with her. Turned out she had shat on the way out and was choking on it. Without the nurses I doubt she would be here today so massive respect for handling the situation on your own.
