Neither can I! It's raining hard today so hopefully it clears up later and me and my mate can crack on and finish it!

What's Passivated (Parkerized) steel and what's the difference between those and alloy?

Yeah the rotas will be on the car for a while untill I can afford some new ones, the polished bits are starting to corrode and there's a few buckles in em :( there's a flat spot on the outer rim! How did that happen lol!

I've been looking at the these klutch sl1's but are 8" and are ET15 so might have to roll my arches which I'm not sure I want to do :/

And I think this is on a 3g lude and I think look sick, even in 16's!

Passivating is a process to treat the surface of the metal and provide a level of surface corrosion protection. Parkerizing is a particular type of Passivation (probably originally developed or patented by a Mr Parker I expect...) It's what turns steel that sort of golden colour. A lot of automotive bolts are treated like this, cheaper than using stainless or galvanizing (but not as resistant as either). They will still corrode but will take ages. Provided you give them a good spray over to clean off crap (especially in the winter) they should stay looking sweet and minty fresh :D

Alloy would be aluminum alloy, like a lot of aftermarket shocks seem to be made from and they seem to corrode like drokk - Teins being a prime example, where (externally) 6 month old shocks look like they're about ten years old and about to fall apart, with all the paint flaking off and surface corrosion...

Probably because most people don't know better and would rather have something that's a shiny larey colour when they open the box?

Cheers everyone :D hopefully Wednesday it'll be back, if I can sort the insurance to start it then lol.

Gave her a quick clean after work and there's loads of bits on there that are really hard to get off, I have to scratch em off but I don't really know what it is, and also where it's been raining there's streak marks down the sides that won't come out. I'm guessing a good polish will sort that out but with the bits thays all over it is it a case of scratching them all off?

Sorted the undertray out with some trusty cable ties

Next step will be taking her to work and adjusting the suspension :D can't wait! Il put some more pictures up soon :)

Is it small bits of tar? Or tree sap?
Clay bar treatment should sort those (apparently - not tried it myself)
