Yeah, that's fair enough. Trial & error innit. I have heard of people using a heat gun, but not sure in the success rate. So oven it is I guess..

Still waiting for parts to come through to get my dodgy wheel & handling sorted btw. Maybe I'll come up in a few weekends time once my old Lude has sold & we'll make a weekend of it, trying to make some decent progress on both our motors. Then maybe travel up to PAW & get the geometry done on them both too. How does that sound?

And having difficulty sourcing the lower suspension arm/bolt I need. What are my options? And would it be worth sourcing the shock absorber 'fork' as well? Do you think this might be bent?

sounds good tbh. I think you just need the lower arm. As i said, i have one but will req a new bush and bolt. Txt me the chassis number and i can get a price for both. Failsafe that way.

Got a few bits & pieces sorted out today courtesy of @thebusofwoe.

Today's list was;

- Rear LCA (to help straighten out the misaligned wheel)
- 4 replacement shocks
- Track rod ends
- Front brake pads
- Timing
- Cam end seal
- Leaky vtec solenoid
- Engine oil & filter
- Gearbox oil

Turned out to be a bit of an epic, but we got there in the end.

On the whole, the car handles better, drives better, and the engine feels a bit happier. Although it's still throwing the CEL..

Still, it really has improved across the board, and it's almost ready for Japfest now. Just need to get the tracking done & go back to Chris' on Wednesday to have a look at the valve clearances. Then it should be ideal.

Actually started to enjoy the car for the first time since owning it on the way home too..

Really looking forward to some track time now!

Ah its no problem Was nice to have yours and Daryl's company .

There was no pics of the two arms as far as i know. Tbh we struggled to notice the difference between the two, however the replacement arm has helped the problem alot. But i am still not happy with it. Its much better but still not perfect, so i suspect that either the top arm is bent or the hub assy is bent . However we got a lot done.

Yeah, sorry Iain but no pics this time.

You really did struggle to see the damage to the lower arm, but it was definitely there.

Most importantly, it really has made a big difference changing it over; it no longer rubs on the arch round corners or over bumps. And as previously said, the handling has certainly improved.

The O/S/R quarter always used to 'squat' down a bit as well..I don't know if changing the suspension over has fixed this yet. I'll have a look on a flat surface tomorrow.

Forgot to extend thanks to @Dbo & Chris' mate as well. They both lent a hand, and helped it all get done in time.

Hey @crunchyadams82, do you have any more info on that rear window visor? e.g. a brand, or place of purchase.. cos I like it
