steering rack boot help

There's only one hole in the driver's side which faces up (The one on the left in this pic)...

It'll need something similar to breather. If you punch a hole in it the chances are it will tear after a bit of use and grease will find it's way out or moisture in quite easily, but I'm sure you can achieve it somehow. If not just get the correct ones before the weekend

get a drill bit drill a hole in the gaiter then take out the breather from the old gaiter and superglue it in

Hmmm. I saw the end of a breather pipe and wondered if it needed to be connected (It wasn't previously), but I don't think it would have reached (I didn't pull on it too hard).Vtecmec wrote:They both need a breather, and a rubber pipe connects the two, the air passes between each helping to equalise the pressure.
