Green does loom great on white TbH, so I would suggest the Kawasaki green also. But since you've ruled that out...
What colour wheels will you be going for? Dark coloured? In which case, white calipers would look

I painted them silver once, and thought they did not stand out/show up enough

I'm torn between white and silver.
I was leaning towards white as you don't see many around. However I've now swayed to silver, as ideally I need to also paint the central part of the discs which have got surface rust, and I think doing them white would be a bit too much!
Sure I could buy 2 tins of paint, but if one tin of silver is enough to do the lot, then it makes more sense!
