Finally got my wheel stuff finished today.
Total spend in the region of £500.
ebay bargain for 3 "new" wheels (to replace one with a big dent, and two buckled)
2 new tyres
2 rear discs
2 rear calipers
moving tyres over to the new wheels (not at kwik fit!)
wheel alignment. (local kwikfit
(which i never use) has been refurbed and have a brand spanking shiny new geo alignment jobby, doesn't make it any cheaper though!)
drives so much nicer now!! awesome.
they've already started going rusty

I use this on the bells & calipers.
Just spray it into an old cup & paint on with a small brush.
It soaks straight in & lasts or ages.

gotta love the sunny weather!
i got my hands on some JDM fogs before christmas, and thought i'd have a look at fitting them today, also wanted to get the front bumper off and check for any signs of rust.
start.

bumper, and bracket thing off. there was only the smallest signs of rust on these parts, but i sanded and painted them to make sure.

brackets sanded and spraypainted, then back on. plus the front fogs.
i knew i didn't have time (or all the right wiring etc) to actually wire the fogs in, but i was desperate to see how they looked so i put them in anyway!

then i thought, hmm, that manifold cover looks like it'll be an easy job to remove and paint, and i had some high temp paint that i bought for the calipers, so why not!

and boy does it look shiny now! trouble is the rest of the engine bay looks even dirtier now, but that'll have to be a job for another day...
oh, and needed a new windscreen a few weeks back, so obligatory shot of windscreen out...

so next weekend hopefully i can make some progress on actually wiring the fogs in, and maybe get the rear bumper off to have a look at possible rust in those areas. unless its raining of course, which i presume it will be.
