Isnt the crank position sensor on 4th gens actually on or around the crank shaft down at the lower right hand side of the engine? And having the crank position sensor in the dizzy is the reason why 5th gen ignition timing can not be manually set (OBDII yo!)?
Out ignition timing wont throw a code but it will make it seem like it is over fueling if the timing is too retarded. Hopefully this is why it bangs and flames.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.
